Develop your employees' English

Business English for your employees

English for the tasks they handle every day

Business English at SprogEU gives your employees confidence in meetings, when they write emails and when they negotiate in English. The training is built around what they actually do at work.

We have trained Danish companies for 25 years, and our language consultants are native English speakers with a business education.

A course can often start within days or weeks. Need more languages than English? Read about our corporate language training.

Who is business English for?

Business English is for employees who use English at work and want to feel more confident doing it.

Danes are actually good at English. In EF EPI 2025, Denmark ranks 7th in the world. But speaking is the weakest skill, with 529 points against 615 for reading.

So many people can easily read a contract but freeze in a meeting. That’s where we come in.

The course is a good fit for:

  • Employees with meetings, emails and calls with international clients or suppliers
  • Managers who present, negotiate or lead international teams
  • Specialists who lack the technical terms in English
  • Teams with colleagues in several countries

Which situations do participants practise in business English?

Participants practise the situations they face at work. We start by finding out where their challenges are today. Is it the meeting, the email or the technical terms? Then we build the training around exactly that.

The most common situations are:

  • Presentations for clients, management or colleagues
  • Internal and external communication in meetings, on calls and on Teams
  • Written communication such as emails and other texts at work
  • Technical terms from your own industry
  • Everyday life with colleagues, from small talk to cross-border teamwork

We are happy to use your own documents in the training. It could be a presentation or an email that has to go out next week. That way, participants practise what they need to use anyway.

If an employee needs to prepare for a specific meeting, read about our meeting and presentation training. And if you work a lot with international suppliers, our article on supplier English gives a good overview.

Business English for your industry

We train employees in the pharmaceutical, finance, manufacturing and energy sectors as well as the public sector. The technical terms differ from industry to industry. But the goal is the same: that your employees feel confident handling their tasks in English.

That’s why we take the vocabulary from your own working day. A controller in a bank doesn’t need the same words as a project manager in the energy sector. And neither of them needs the textbook chapter on life at the office.

Is your industry not listed? Get in touch anyway. The approach is the same, whatever you do.

Four ways to learn

Which business English courses can you choose?

You can choose between four formats. They can also be combined if some employees need more than others.

All formats can take place online or at your workplace. We find out together which one fits best in the initial conversation.

How does a course work?

A course follows five steps. So you know exactly what will happen before the first lesson begins.

  1. Initial conversation. We discuss needs, goals and timeframe and agree on the length of the course.
  2. Level test. Each participant takes a level test so we know their starting point.
  3. Learning plan. The language consultant draws up a plan based on the test and your goals.
  4. Training. Online or at your workplace, using your own materials.
  5. Feedback and summary. Participants get ongoing feedback, and you receive a summary of the results.

Who teaches your employees?

Your employees are taught by a language consultant who is a native English speaker. And the language consultant has a business education.

That gives you two advantages.

Participants hear English the way it is actually spoken. And they practise with someone who understands the language and situations of the business world.

Pricing based on your needs

What does the price depend on?

The price depends on how the course is put together. That’s why you always get a quote based on your needs rather than a fixed price.

Four things in particular affect the price:

  • Number of participants on the course
  • Group or individual training
  • Online or on-site at your workplace
  • Duration, which we agree on in the initial conversation

The quote is free and without obligation. So you know what the course costs before you say yes.

What a participant says

"My main challenge was speaking, as well as having a limited vocabulary within my field of work. I improved my grammar through a number of written exercises. Overall, it was a really good course."
